Five Basic Rules for Private Practice Success

We’ve packed a lot into these five rules.  They cover the full range of factors that will impact your success in business.

  • Define your services, your niche, and your USP (unique selling point).
  • Establish yourself as the expert in this area. Develop, disseminate and repeat your message.
  • Create opportunities to interact with your referral sources and prospective clients.
  • Learn to “close the sale”, and have a follow-up program in place for those who don’t initially accept your recommendations.
  • Use enhanced customer service to create long-term, loyal clients.

ON target correct, even with the sales coaching I do, as well as in my own business – one must simply clearly pitch their niche and have a well-articulated value proposition. Many of us want to cast a wide net (especially when our practice is new) to capture as many clients as possible but by taking the time to follow the steps you’ve outlined above – those clients will be attracted to you because you have articulate, specifically, the type of person you work with AND that helps with referrals.
