Jim Rohn, known as America’s foremost business philosopher, passed away on Saturday, December 5th.\u00a0 He touched the lives of millions of people over the years with his wisdom shared through seminars, books, CDs and articles. Making a difference in people’s lives was his passion and there are many, many people who attribute their success to his teachings.<\/p>\n

His website, Jim Rohn, International, is a guidepost to his work and YouTube has video snippets of his appearances at seminars and workshops. I’ve selected two to post here for their messages. The one below is a beautiful display of some of his most inspiring messages, set to music. You’ll enjoy listening\/reading it as the perfect ending to this article.<\/p>\n

In the video above, Jim talks about personal development, success and profits. Someone once made a statement to Jim that he says changed his entire life, and in the video above he describes it. That staatement starts out as: “Your income is directly related to your ____.” (watch to see the finish to that sentence).<\/p>\n

As 2009 draws to an end, I know that many of you are starting to plan for 2010.\u00a0 Some of you have big plans and you will achieve them.\u00a0 Some of you have big plans that simply won’t come to fruition.\u00a0 And some of you have no plans at all and no plans to create any.\u00a0 While I hope that you aren’t in that last category, no matter which camp you are in, [firstname], you should know that the biggest factor in your own success is YOU.<\/p>\n

Knowing, understanding, accepting and then leveraging that one piece of information is how you catapult to success.\u00a0 Are you going to be one of the few people that acts on this knowledge?<\/p>\n

On Jim Rohn’s website tribute, there appears the following thought from one who knew him well. I share it with you with the hope that it will serve as an inspiration to you as you plan for 2010:<\/p>\n

We know Mr. Rohn is looking down on us at this very moment with a smile saying: “I did it, I gave it my all, I went for it, now it\u2019s your turn. Go for it.<\/strong> Make your life a life worth living well!”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
